Bethlehem Conservation Commission Vacancy

Bethlehem Conservation Commission Vacancy

The Bethlehem Conservation Commission is looking to fill an opening.

The Bethlehem Conservation Commission is a town-appointed volunteer committee dedicated to preserving and protecting both the natural resources and scenic beauty of Bethlehem, NH. The Bethlehem Conservation Commission consists of seven members and any number of alternates. In addition to reviewing wetlands permit applications, we are charged with managing the Bethlehem Town Forest.

Our mission is to ensure “the proper utilization and protection of the natural resources and the protection of the watershed resources” of our community, according to New Hampshire RSA 36-A, which provides for the establishment of municipal conservation commissions.

The Commission is also seeking members of the community who would be interested in serving as an alternate. When members are absent at meetings, alternates are appointed to take their place and act as a voting member.

If you are interested in serving on the Conservation Commission, as a full member or alternate, you are encouraged to attend a meeting or contact Co-Chair, Linda Moore at . Letters of interest can be sent to the Town Office, Attn: Linda Moore, PO Box 189, Bethlehem, NH 03574.
