BETHLEHEM PUBLIC MEETING ON US 302 (MAIN ST.) CULVERT

PROJECT INCLUDES RESURFACING 600 FEET OF US 302

 

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will hold a combined Public Officials/Public Informational Meeting in Bethlehem to explain the need to rehabilitate an existing multi-material culvert, which carries a tributary of Barrett Brook under US Route 302 (Main Street).  The project scope includes resurfacing approximately 600 feet of Route 302, from Route 142 (Maple Street) to Congress Street.  The project is scheduled for construction in 2019. 

 

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 18, 2018 at 7:00 pm, and will be part of the regular scheduled Board of Selectmen’s Meeting at the Bethlehem Town Hall, 2155 Main Street, in Bethlehem, NH.

 

The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project and to solicit public input in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment.  Accordingly, NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination

 

This project may have an effect on historic properties.  Owners of properties determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places that abut the project alternatives may have an opportunity to become consulting parties.  Additional information will be provided at the public informational meeting.
