The meeting was called to order at 6:04pm.
The purpose of the meeting was to rework the roadside clean up publications due to concerns regarding overfilled roadside bins and bulky items resulting from the cleanup. NCES Manager Kevin Roy notified Linda that curbside pickup has seen an increase in filled and overfilled bins during the coronavirus pandemic. He was concerned that encouraging participants to place additional roadside trash into their curbside bins could create an issue. The publication was reworded telling all participants to take their roadside trash directly to the Transfer Station and gave the Transfer Station Hours.
To encourage residents to participate a raffle was suggested. Chris offered to donate money towards the gift card and so did Linda. A raffle will be held for a gift certificate in the amount of $50 to a Bethlehem Business (winner’s choice). The BCC members also extended the date range for the cleanup, from April 25th to May 9th.
Linda gave a brief update on the Town Forest Survey; Gardner is hoping to have a plan done for the May meeting.
Cheryl motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:31pm, Linda seconded, 6-0.
Meeting Adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Nicole McGrath, Secretary
