BETHLEHEM TOWN HALL MEETING ROOM

Minutes

6:00 pm

Present:   Mike Bruno, David Rodrigues, Marie Stevenson and Dave Wiley

Absent: Linda Moore, Neil Brody and Johnathan Stevenson

Mike Bruno opened the meeting at 6:04pm. He then read the Agenda:  Conceptual for Mountain Creek Yoga, Warrant articles and past minutes.

Ashley Warwick presented her plan for a home yoga studio; she is a registered yoga instructor through Yoga alliance. Her space will accommodate 9 yoga mats.  She has plenty of parking, and her homeowners and professional liability insurance is satisfactory in covering her home business.  She would like to offer 5-7 classes each week with only 2-3 to start.

Mike Bruno made a motion to waive Site Plan for Mountain Creek Yoga. David Rodrigues seconded 4-0 motion passes.

Mike Bruno asked Chris McGrath to explain his plan for a warrant article regarding setbacks in District 2. He would like to build a garage and have it in line with his house.  Currently the front set back is 60 feet from the center of the road in all districts.  He believes that this is a good recommendation but, he’s not suggesting it for new construction. However for properties that already have a primary structure he feels that this setback is unreasonable. It is his recommendation that we add language which would change the set back of the accessory building to whatever the setback of the existing home is.

Mike Bruno made a motion to have the Planning Board adopt the proposed warrant article for district 2.

Dave Wiley seconded 4-0 motion passes.

Dann asked the process for a zoning change. Mike Bruno told him that Zoning Board grants relief.

Ashley Warwick asked about parking on Maple Street (route 142). Not a good idea Dave Wiley said, people travel back and forth going way to fast.  Mike Bruno agreed.  Mike Bruno suggested that she ask her neighbor the Bethlehem Christian School.  She also asked about putting up a fence. Yes a fence is allowed Dave Wiley said.  Bethlehem does not have a fence ordinance.

It was determined that there was not a quorum for the October 11, 2017 minutes. Next scheduled hearing is November 15, 2017 at 6:00pm.

Mike Bruno motioned to adjourn Marie Stevenson seconds 4-0 motion passed
