Present: Chairman Michael Bruno, Vice Chair Dave Wiley, Chris McGrath, Marie Stevenson, Sandy Laleme, Marie Stevenson and Johnathan Stevenson
Absent: Steve Gorman
Chairman Bruno opened the Master Plan public hearing at 6:05
Chairman Bruno wanted to make a motion to finalize the last payment to June Garneau for the Master Plan. Rita Farrell asked what happen at the last Master Plan on December 14, 2016. He explained that they finalized chapter 11. They decided to pay June for her services at the next planning board meeting on the 28th of December 2016 upon finalizing the plan. Rita was not pleased with the turnout for this meeting. There were only 4 people in attendance. She was assured that every venue that we typically and legally advertise through was completed. She suggested that the board should have offered ice cream, to encourage more citizens to attend. She then brought up the Kevin Roy/ Casella letter. Chairman Bruno told her that Andrea Bryant had sent him an email about the same thing. She was assured that the letter was not included in the Master Plan. Chairman Bruno told Rita that the letter was put on Facebook Bethlehem NH before that entire board had even seen it. She continued on about Kevin Roy’s letter. Chairman Bruno assured her multiple times that no changes were made or affected by this letter to the Master Plan.
Chairman Bruno told everyone that he was not going to postpone this meeting. It was noticed in the paper and at the town hall and the post office. Rita went on to say that she paid $15.00 for a copy of the master plan. She will pay tomorrow. Rita feels as though the public should not be charged for the master plan. It was explained that the document is available online and at the town hall. It will also be available at the library in the near future. Chris McGrath would like to pay for her copy of the Master Plan. Rita goes on say that there should not be any mention of a stainable park in the master plan. Chairman Bruno assured Rita again that nothing was changed since she left to go to Delaware. This whole process has been a learning curve he explained.
Chairman Bruno motioned to approve the revised 2016 Master Plan as written. Dave Wiley seconded 6-0 motion carries
Chairman Bruno made a motion to pay June Garneau for her services to complete the revised 2016 Master Plan project. Dave Wiley seconded 6-0 motion carries
Public Hearing closed at 7:30pm for the revised 2016 Master Plan.
Board Business
Minutes from November 9, 2016 were discussed regarding Chris McGraths changes to the minutes. The board had not seen Chris’s changes as yet. Sandy Laleme again explains about making changes to meeting minutes has to be done as a board vote.
Chairman Bruno wants to table the November 9, 2016 minutes until the next meeting on January 4th, 2017 at 6:00pm
Sandy Laleme motioned to adjourn Dave Wiley second motion carries 6-0
