Bethlehem Board of Selectmen
Meeting Minutes
Bethlehem Selectmen Office
January 31, 2014

Present: Chairman Blanchard, Selectman Culver, and Selectman Glavac.

At 5:40 Chairman Blanchard opened the meeting.

Selectman Culver moved to sign 2 deeds back to property owner after they were deeded in error. Chairman Blanchard seconded. Carried 3-0.

The Board discussed the Town Report and what would be on the cover this year and if it would be dedication to anyone. They reviewed a request from Rita Farrell:

I would like to make the following suggestions for the cover of the town report:

*The Conservation Commission and Bretzfelder Park Committee for their work in providing excellent community spaces and programs that celebrate the unique outdoor qualities of a mountain town.

*The Colonial Theatre for presenting outstanding concerts and films that attract visitors, residents throughout the North Country, and space for town events like the Profile School play and BHS reunions, etc.

*WREN for programs, monthly art openings, activities and classes for all ages, and support for budding and
established entrepreneurs.

*INSIDE COVER:
Paul Hudson, whose enthusiasm as a volunteer curator has enriched the Town with his tireless researching, cataloguing, collecting, sharing, discovering, documenting and recounting of the compelling history of a community’s evolution from a hardscrabble farm town, to sawmills, to railroad center, and to a destination where 30 major hotels once welcomed visitors from around the world.

After discussion the Board felt the new library should be on the cover and that it should be dedicated to 2 people who have passed this past year who both served the Town for many years.

Chairman Blanchard moved to have the new library on the cover and a dedication on the inside cover to Al Macbain and Howard Keach. Selectman Culver seconded. Carried 3-0.

At 5:41 Chairman Blanchard moved to go into nonpublic session pursuant to RSA 91-A:3, II(e) to discuss pending litigation. Selectman Culver seconded. Chairman Blanchard did roll call with all members agreeing to go into non-public session.

At 5:47 Chairman Blanchard moved to come out of non-public session. Selectman Glavac seconded. Carried 3-0.
At 5:47 Chairman Blanchard moved to adjourn. Selectman Culver seconded. Carried 3-0.

Respectfully submitted,

April Hibberd

Administrative Assistant
