Mail:

  • Mail
    • 1/26/2021: NHDES Wetlands Permit – Amended: AHEAD Main Street Project
    • 2/2/2021: NHDES Comments to Presby Energy regarding monitoring wells

Old Business: Margaret gave an update on the AHEAD Property Conservation Easement.  She confirmed with Rick Walling, ACT Employee, that the Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust does hold an easement on approximately 30 acres of the 44-acre parcel.  ACT is aware that NHDES found areas “out of compliance” on both the active development site and partially on the easement land.  ACT visited the site and documented their findings for their Board.  The BCC still had questions what will happen next.  Margaret will follow up with Rick again and report out at the next BCC meeting.

Member Reappointments: To go to the Select Board.

Margaret made a motion to recommend to the Select Board for reappointment of Cheryl Jensen for a 3-year term to the Bethlehem Conservation Commission, Vivian seconded, motion passes 4-0-1, Cheryl abstained.

Margaret made a motion to recommend to the Select Board for reappointment of Linda Moore for a 3-year term to the Bethlehem Conservation Commission, Vivian seconded, motion passed 4-0-1, Linda abstained

Roadside Clean-Up: A date was set for the annual BCC Roadside Clean-Up: Saturday, May 8, 10:00 am.  Rain/Snow Date: May 15.  We will review tasks at the next BCC meeting

Other/New Business:  Lindsay mentioned that the Northeast Resource Recovery Association is holding their annual conference (Virtual Zoom Meeting) on the mornings of May 10 and May 11.  Bethlehem is a municipal member and BCC members can attend free of charge.  Lindsay will email the link to register.

Cheryl gave us a heads up that Presidential Mountain Resort plans to change their plans for the development across the street from the current PMR cabins.  The conceptual plan is to add 12 cabins (or more) similar to the current cabins.  The timeline is for plans to be before the Planning Board and Conservation Commission as early as late March, with construction beginning this summer.  There will likely be wetland impacts and the BCC will address them when we can see the design plans and/or respond to an AOT or wetlands permit.

Vivian mentioned that she has the slides from the NHACC conference and will send them out to the group.

Cheryl made a motion that we adjourn at 6:51 pm, Margaret seconded, motion passed unanimously.

Meeting adjourned at 6:51 pm

Respectfully submitted,

Lindsay Webb, BCC Chair
